Frozen Queen will enchant you even before its wine-red blooms begin opening. The unique hues and shapes of the variegated foliage are, in a word, breathtaking. Translucent, silvery-white leaves irregularly outlined in green brush strokes elegantly twist and curve as they climb skyward. The upright, trumpet-shaped flowers, which are 10 cm in length and 5?7 cm in diameter, arrive in midsummer displaying the colour of a good Bordeaux to add gorgeous contrast. This versatile beauty is equally at home outside in the garden and indoors as a houseplant. Outdoors, it deserves a spot in the front row where it can be admired, such as in a border or patio pot. In areas with hot, humid summers, we recommend planting this calla lily where it will get at least some shade and avoid being in direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
